Welcome to all of you who love a good story.

I am an author, historian, and storyteller. I am considered Estacada’s unofficial historian. I have authored seven books, including the first two published books on Estacada: Images of America, Estacada, and Estacada Sagas. I am currently in the research phase for more books on the city. They will contain new and expanded information on the area, with previously unpublished stories, photos, and artifacts.

I thrive on uncovering the bones of a good story. My process involves discovering oral histories that need to be preserved. Using original research methods and personal interviews, I gather the details of these stories. During the research process, I also collect family photographs, personal documents and supportive images that help illustrate the details of the stories. Once these materials are assembled, I create a professional manuscript that is later developed into a book. I love the challenge of telling a good story.
